Meet TBBT’s very own Makeup Artist & Lash Extension specialist...Emily!
How did you find your career as a lash extension specialist and makeup artist? (feel free to mention that u work with the TBBT crew)
I started working with Lancôme as a full-time beauty advisor in 2017. I learned professional makeup through their “Ecole” program, this is where I really discovered my passion for the makeup industry. From there I learned a lot about working with clients, building clientele and marketing myself via social media which led me to where I am today with TBBT! (Shout out to Instagram for landing me the best job with the best bridal team!). During my journey with Lancôme, I started getting eyelash extensions for myself (so much easier to wake up and not have to put on darn mascara). I remember being so intrigued with this service; I would always talk to my lash artist about the business. I knew it was something I had to learn, and I am so happy that I did!

What's your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of my job (makeup & lashes both) is that I have the power to help people feel confident again. I think we all know what it feels like to feel down about ourselves so to be able to make someone feel beautiful is truly rewarding.

Are there any current lash trends? What do you find is your most highly requested application?
Fluffy but keep it natural. I have noticed that the majority of my clients go for the hybrid set which is a mix of both volume and classic. I like to say, “the perfect in-between of natural & glam”.

How long does an application usually take? How often do clients require a fill-in?
Application takes anywhere from 1.5- 2 hours. I require my clients to schedule a fill every 2-2.5 weeks.
Are there any lifestyle considerations a first-time client should know about?
Throw that mascara away, you will not need it anymore!

How has COVID impacted your lash business? Good and/or bad.
I am very fortunate to say that COVID impacted my business in the best way. As soon as restrictions were lifted, my clientele really boomed and for that I am grateful for!
